What the PM Kisan beneficiary list 2026 means
The PM-KISAN beneficiary list is the government record used to display eligible farmer families submitted and processed through the scheme system. The official public list page allows a visitor to select a state, district, sub-district, block, and village. It is not the same as the private payment-status page, which asks for a registration number and captcha.
The official PM-KISAN home page displayed the beneficiary list page as updated for August 21, 2026 when reviewed. The page date is a portal status marker. It does not mean every farmer in the country has the same payment result on that date.
The official beneficiary-list page should be the starting point. You can also open the Current Affair guide URL after checking the government portal for the latest screen labels.
| Portal feature | What it shows | Information needed |
| Beneficiary List | Public village-wise list | State, district, sub-district, block, and village |
| Know Your Status | Registration and payment details | Registration number and captcha |
| New Farmer Registration | Application route for eligible farmers | Required identity, land, and bank information |
| e-KYC | Identity verification status | Portal or authorised verification method |
Who can be included under PM-KISAN
The official PM-KISAN scheme says eligible landholding farmer families with cultivable land in their names can receive support, subject to the scheme guidelines and verification. The scheme defines a family as a husband, wife, and minor children who own cultivable land according to state or Union Territory land records.
The official FAQ states that the scheme provides ₹6,000 per year per eligible family in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 every four months. It also says the scheme was extended beyond the original small and marginal farmer limit to cover eligible farmer families irrespective of landholding size.
Eligibility is not decided only by finding a similar name in a village list. State and Union Territory authorities identify and verify the records, and the portal processes the approved data for payment.
| Eligibility point | Official rule | Practical check |
| Land record | Cultivable land should be in the farmer family's name | Check the state land record and submitted details |
| Family definition | Husband, wife, and minor children | Check for duplicate family claims |
| Annual support | ₹6,000 in three equal instalments | Confirm payment history in Know Your Status |
| Verification | State or UT authorities identify beneficiaries | Resolve record issues through the designated process |
Where to check the official beneficiary list
Open pmkisan.gov.in and use the beneficiary-list option. The public page displays fields for State, District, Sub-District, Block, and Village. Select each field from the official page rather than using a copied list from a social media post or an unfamiliar website.
The public list is useful for a village-level lookup. It does not replace the individual status page when you need to confirm a registration number, bank details, payment status, UTR number, or credit date.
Use the official PM-KISAN home page for the portal links. The portal is designed and hosted by the National Informatics Centre, and its content is published and managed by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
How to use the state and village filters
Choose the state or Union Territory where the land record and beneficiary entry are registered. Then select the district, sub-district, block, and village in the order shown by the portal. The page may keep later fields unavailable until an earlier field is selected.
Check the spelling and administrative level before concluding that a name is absent. A village can have a similar name in a different block or district. If the portal shows a list, use the browser's find function to search the displayed names, but do not share personal details publicly.
The official beneficiary-list page displayed the title "Benificiary List" with the portal timestamp when reviewed. The spelling on the government page does not change the correct process. Use the official URL and the available filters.
How to check registration and payment status
Use the PM-KISAN Know Your Status page when you need an individual record. The page asks for a registration number and captcha. It can show payment status, bank name, UTR number, payment mode, whether the account was credited, the credit date, and financial-year-wise e-KYC information.
If you do not know the registration number, use the official portal's available recovery or registration options rather than entering Aadhaar or bank data into a third-party form. Keep the registration number private and use only the official government domain.
| Status page field | What it can indicate | What to verify |
| Payment Status | Current processing or payment result | Whether the result matches the relevant instalment |
| Bank Name | Recorded destination bank | Whether the bank information is correct |
| UTR No. | Transfer reference where available | Ask the bank to trace the reference if needed |
| Account Credited | Credit outcome and credit date | Check the bank statement or official record |
Open the official Know Your Status page for this lookup. A screenshot from a messaging app is not a substitute for the live government record.
Why e-KYC is mandatory
The PM-KISAN home page states that e-KYC is mandatory for registered PM-KISAN farmers. It also says a biometric-based e-KYC option is available for CSC VLE logins, the PM-KISAN mobile application, and authorised state user logins.
India.gov.in describes e-KYC as essential for verifying the identity of beneficiaries under PM-KISAN. Complete the process through the official portal, the official mobile application, or an authorised service point. Do not send an OTP, bank PIN, or full identity document to an unsolicited caller.
The India.gov.in e-KYC service page provides an official service reference. The PM-KISAN portal remains the place to review the resulting status.
How to read withheld or pending status
The PM-KISAN home page currently warns that the department has identified suspected cases that may fall under exclusion criteria. It gives examples such as land ownership acquired after 01-02-2019 and more than one family member receiving benefits. The portal says benefits for such cases may be temporarily withheld until physical verification is completed.
Withheld does not mean that a third-party agent can unlock the payment for a fee. It means the official record requires verification or correction. Review the status page, land record, family details, e-KYC, and bank information, then follow the official grievance or verification route.
Do not infer a payment date from a public list entry. A list entry and a completed bank credit are different status points.
Common exclusion conditions under the scheme
The official PM-KISAN scheme page and FAQ list exclusion categories. These include institutional landholders, certain former or present constitutional office holders and elected representatives, specified serving or retired government employees, pensioners with a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more subject to the stated exceptions, income-tax payers, and practising registered professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects.
The official FAQ also says the eligibility cut-off date is 01-02-2019, with an exception for succession after the death of a landholder. A farmer cultivating land owned by a parent or another person is not eligible merely because the farmer works that land. The land must be in the farmer's own name, subject to the scheme rules.
Read the official PM-KISAN FAQ PDF for the full exclusion and eligibility wording. If an official record conflicts with a local land record, use the designated state or district process for correction.
What the official portal currently shows in 2026
The PM-KISAN home page states that the 23rd instalment was released on June 20, 2026 from Tarakeswar, Hooghly, West Bengal. It also displayed 9,44,65,646 farmers benefited for the April to July 2026-27 period when reviewed. These are portal figures and programme updates, not an assurance that every registered farmer received a credit.
The same page says PM-KISAN became operational from 01-12-2018 and is a Central Sector scheme with 100% funding from the Government of India. It states that benefits are transferred directly to beneficiary bank accounts after the required identification and verification process.
| Official portal item | Displayed or stated value | How to use it |
| Latest instalment note | 23rd instalment released on June 20, 2026 | Use the individual status page for personal payment confirmation |
| April to July 2026-27 | 9,44,65,646 farmers benefited | Read as a portal programme figure, not a personal guarantee |
| Scheme operation | Operational from 01-12-2018 | Provides historical context for the scheme |
| Funding | 100% Government of India funding | Confirms the scheme classification on the official page |
What to do if your name is missing
First repeat the search with the correct state, district, sub-district, block, and village. Then check Know Your Status with the registration number. Review e-KYC, land ownership, bank account, and family information. A missing public-list entry can result from an incorrect filter, an unverified record, a correction in progress, or ineligibility under the scheme rules. dated data-check guide shows why a source date should remain visible.
The official FAQ says farmer families whose names are not included can approach the District Level Grievance Redressal Monitoring Committee. It also describes the Farmers Corner facilities for new registration, editing Aadhaar details, and beneficiary status. Use the route applicable to the issue instead of paying an unofficial intermediary.
The troubleshooting guide illustrates a general verification habit: identify the exact failure state before changing the input. For PM-KISAN, record the selected location and status message before requesting help.
How to avoid PM-KISAN scams
Use only the pmkisan.gov.in domain and official government service pages. Do not install an unknown application, share an OTP, reveal a bank PIN, or pay a caller who promises instant inclusion. KPC's official website has a similar warning about suspicious investment advertisements, which is a useful reminder to verify the domain before trusting a payment request.
Keep screenshots private when they contain registration numbers, bank names, UTR numbers, Aadhaar details, mobile numbers, or addresses. If you need help, contact the relevant government office or authorised service centre through an independently verified channel.
The digital-service guide explains why a visible source and timestamp help users distinguish a real portal from a copied page. Apply the same check to every scheme-status message.
Conclusion: use the official list and individual status together
The PM Kisan Beneficiary List 2026 is a public, location-filtered record on the official PM-KISAN portal. The Know Your Status page is the correct place for registration, payment, bank, UTR, credit, and e-KYC details. Eligibility depends on land records, family information, exclusion rules, e-KYC, and government verification. Check the official domain, record the date, protect private information, and use the district grievance route when the record needs correction.
