A new batch is announced each year between April and June. Notifications appear at:
- District Magistrate (DM) Office notice boards
- Backward Classes Welfare (BCW) Department offices
- School principals (for notified schools)
- District education office websites and local newspapers
Regularly check with your DM Office or school principal from April onwards: "Has the Yogyashree notification arrived?"
Step 2: Collect the Application Form
Forms are available from:
- Zila Parishad / DM Office
- BCW Department Office
- Your school principal (if it is a notified centre)
- District website — occasionally uploaded as a PDF
Step 3: Fill and Submit the Form
- Fill all details accurately — double-check before submitting
- Attach self-attested copies of all required documents
- Submit physically to the DM Office or BCW Office
- Collect an acknowledgement receipt — keep it safe
Deadline: Usually 2–3 weeks after the notification is released. Do not delay.
Step 4: Written Screening Test
- Not all applicants are selected — a written screening test is conducted
- Test covers Class 10-level Mathematics, Science and Logical Reasoning
- A merit list is prepared after the test for final selection
✅ Step 5: Final Selection & Joining
- Selected students receive a joining letter with centre address, reporting date and instructions
- Centres are typically at district headquarters or reputed institutions in Kolkata
- Original documents must be presented for verification at the time of joining
